Long haul flights

At a seminar yesterday I was reminded of some useful preventative info for any of you about to go on a really long flight so here it is!

Omega 3 – this helps stop blood cells sticking together – part of the risk of clotting/deep vein thrombosis – so if you can take three capsules before setting off, then perhaps 3 when you get to the airport, and you may have time to take them before taking off, and again if you stop in transit half way round.

Kiwi fruit contains compounds that help break down clots and magnesium also plays a part in thinning the blood.

Have a good trip!
